An inaugural three-day musical festival with bands and artists such as Neil Young, Kendrick Lamar, Sam Smith, Modest Mouse, alt-J, St. Vincent, Run the Jewels, Future Islands and July Talk couldn’t be passed up.
Especially with a camera in hand.
WayHome Festival was an absolute success across the board. No lines for beer, food or getting in every day. The 4 stages were all unique with perfect programming. The art was dope. The serene and pastoral landscape was the perfect backdrop. The audience was chill (seriously, wicked crowd). And the bands, Oh, they delivered. Best yet, WayHome just confirmed a second year.
Here are my favourite shots from the festival. See all my other shots with blogTO. Click any image to open in the lightbox viewer.

Leah being fucking awesome
Leah Fay of July Talk walking along the security barricade. Unreal.
July Talk’s Leah Fay is one helluva performer.
Future Islands at 1 in the morning was one of the best shows.

El-P of Run the Jewels
The audience lost their collective shit for Run the Jewels
“Run them jewels fast!”
Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse (a hero of mine)
One of the best guitarists out there.
