I‘ve been skateboarding since I was 13. Skateboarding changed my life. My way of seeing the world. Of expressing myself. To be a skateboarder, is to live skateboarding. How you see the world, where every ledge or stairset is a new possibility. Skateboarding is one of the chief influences on my photography.

Venice Beach is world-renowned for its skateboarders as much as it is its characters. Its unmistakable sunsets. Having had the opportunity to go and photograph the legendary skater haunt until sunset was a childhood dream. Here are some of my favourite captures from travels to the legendary Venice Beach skatepark. Cheers, California. Cheers, Skateboarding.
