California has been a dream since I was a kid. The funny thing is I ended up going to Africa four times and seeing the world twice over before getting to Cali. Well, it happened.
Kathryn and I made the trek out in early July to Los Angeles, which was cool, but the goal was to leave the city. And to do it in style. So… we rented a white BMW convertible (code named: White Dolphin) and drove it through the desert in 110-degree weather to Salvation Mountain, and then to Joshua Tree for dusk. What a journey. Here’s what we saw. Click any photo to expand.

Excellent blog. Greetings Antonio
Beautiful photos of Southern California. I grew up there, and your photos made me feel the way I did when I was there. Glad you finally made that dream come true.
Wow, what a compliment. Thank you!
Great pictures! I’d love to visit LA
